Looking back.
the past just sprung up on me after i went out the last 2 days.
on saturday, i went to my grandma's bday dinner. somewhere near tiongbahru. upon seeing my relatives, i realised it had been quite a while since i last saw them. things have changed. the adults looked more frail, the kids grew up. i stood outside the restaurant and stoned. i suddenly felt lost. things have changed so much and why did i only notice it now? anyway the dinner sucked. service was poor, and yet they had the cheek to charge 10% for their service.
backtrack. on the way to the restaurant, was when i started to think. we passed by Spore Expo. the carpark was full as though parking was free. my dad commented in amixture of hokkien and chinese. look at the number of cars. the amount of road taxes paid by the owners of the cars from this carpark itself are all paid to the government. see how rich the government could get? even if each car owner just needs to pay a dollar. it could mount up to this huge amount of money which can be used to help the needy.
service taxes, road taxes, gst, they were here to solve economical problems. but why is the percentage rising? have problems been solved? well mayb yes. but more problems have arised too. the PAP was not what it used to be. a profit minded government is what makes up singapore today. probably im still too young to see what the government is actually doin. but well what i know is that people are voting for the PAP because they feel PAP are more reliable.
ok enough said. lets continue.
along ECP. 630pm. i gazed at the azure sky. wow how pretty i thought. well, i thought again. could it get any prettier? then the highway reached the city area. skyscrapers blocked out the sky. i see the sky no more. just how concrete can the world be? can't we just stop developing at such a dangerous rate and add on to our everlasting environmental problems? afterall, once the Earth breaksdown, you are goin to lose everything you've got.
fastfoward, back to the restaurant. finished the meal, and it was after 10. didn't had a happy meal. cos it really sucked. lol. i guess the only consolations were that, i had a meal with my family and there was this pretty girl dining there too. haha.
well i've rambled too much. i'll stop the day here.
yesterday. went to bballing! haha. manymany people came. 13. sadly, hsinghan and yeechien decided not to come.
well the day was funny, played full court ball, and then this guy asked if he can join. guess what, our gangster 5(jh) said"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" lol. lol
lol. but well, that guy still managed to join us in our next game. and i got no idea why. another champion thing one of us did was, to snatch the ball away from this guy wen we were like shooting around. and guess wad this champion of ours said? he said he never take properly. lol!
yes he is maomao elmer. wahahaha. i missed th days when we dominated the court. people challenged us, we played against them, we won with our heads held high. u know the feeling was great. but now, we took such a long time to sink the final 3. so long that some kids said " wa so hard meh" damm i didnt hear that if not i sure suddenly on form de.
tomorrow will be the day. the day we get back our papers. our hard work for promos will all be shown on the results.
for now, i guess i nid a break, probably go ot more often if i have the money sponsorship.
hmm, i guess i need to cherish the people around me more. especially the ones i love.
